For generations the forest of the warriors has seen peace– until a dreadful betrayal shook the trees to their very roots. Firestar, the young leader of Thunderclan, has come to power after the tragic murder of Thunderclan’s former leader, and must lead his clan through the dangers presented by the hostilities of the neighboring Shadowclan. Tigerstar, the leader of Shadowclan, is bent on revenge after his exile from Thunderclan moons ago, and will not rest until all traces of his former home are gone. Meanwhile Starclan– the ancestors of the warrior clans– have been dangerously quiet without their usual signs, giving all cats a reason to live in fear.
Across the river, an unprecedented alliance is brewing between Riverclan and the newly reformed Shadowclan. Rumors whisper into every cold corner of the forest that Shadowclan has taken over Riverclan by force, deceiving its leader, and bringing forth a destructive path until all four warrior clans fall under his control.
Can the cats of Thunderclan, Windclan– and the renegades of Shadowclan and Riverclan– fight against the violent Tigerstar and his bloody quest for power? Yet, a new danger prowls beside Shadowclan from the last place any cat would expect– one unlike any other that promises to forever destroy the warrior cats. The darkest hour has fallen over the warrior clans, and only the bravest, strongest warriors will survive the coming war…
